Yes to no earbuds or headphones!

I heard about an app that lets public transit users see if anyone at the same bus stop wants to talk (assuming they have the same app). Is that weird, in your opinion?

That is not weird, and I feel like the people who want to talk at bus stops don’t need an app and will stop at nothing to make the conversation happen.

I too worry it will be a loss of my senses, Julie. It already is, really. But I don't want to make it worse. ❤️

This is such a beautiful clarion call to the importance of taking it all in, with all of the senses, while we have them. My eight-year-old twins came home from school recently saying that there was a new kind of water bottle that they just HAD TO have. You fill it with water, but then you put a flavour pod on the top, so when you drink you're also inhaling the scent of Coke or blueberries or lime, so it tricks your senses into believing that you're drinking something other than water... There is apparently a commercial solution for every problem when it comes to avoiding genuine sensation!

I am so with you on all of this. And don’t get me started on the whole Apple Vision Pro. What the actual fuck?

The older I get (I’m 45) the more I want to smash people’s phones (mine included).

But I’ve never run barefoot. That for crazy people 😜
